Simplifying
the Complex

about us

History
Info-Stat.com was founded by Jim Colville in the 1990’s with the internet domain name being originally registered in 1996. Info-Stat performed many technology services, with an emphasis on Excel Solutions based training, consulting and financial reporting services. In the early 2000’s Info-Stat services took a back seat to Jim’s CPA practice and the business has now been reactivated (2023) as Excel365Solutions.com modernizing and replacing the legacy  Info‑Stat.com Excel site.

Today
Beginning in 2020 Jim’s CPA practice became a consulting only business supported by Info-Stat, Excel365Solutions.com and Excel services which may include several internet, technology and accounting related consulting services. Jim’s CPA consulting can be found at:

JimColvilleCPA.com    and    JMCAdvisor.com

Simplifying the Complex
Jim has noted that many tasks are approached in an overly complicated manner, making it confusing for those involved, resulting in cumbersome procedures, reports that are late, difficult to read and comprehend which all of this leads to error prone procedures and reports. Jim designed procedures based on his CPA experience resulting in the tag lines of Simplifying the Complex as well as Zero Time Reporting.

Zero Time Reporting
Most all accounting and related tasks involve inputting data, manipulating data and outputting the results to either the final report or input to another system.  These tasks historically are time consuming and labor intensive. Using Excel and his experience as a CPA Jim created many reporting systems that combine all of these steps.  The result is that once the data is inputted the report is ready, Zero Time Reporting. Much of this was proprietary but much of it is now the public domain.

Back in the 1990’s and 2000’s this was a leading edge concept and Jim had unique knowledge and skills that generated a high demand for his services. Fast forward to 2023, technology has evolved to greatly reduce these labor intensive steps. But Excel and those with Excel knowledge have evolved as well with many integrations and Excel features (such as Dynamic Arrays) that puts Zero Time Reporting on steroids.
